Many women have probably experienced menstrual blood leakage at least once. This product was born from the developer’s own experience.
One day, I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids during a gynaecological examination. At first, there were no symptoms, but the amount of bleeding gradually increased. Before long, I began to suffer from menstrual leakage day and night during my period, sometimes changing my sheets three times in one night.
On average, women experience menstruation for around 35 to 40 years. Menstrual flow volume varies greatly from person to person, and uterine fibroids, which cause heavy menstruation, are a condition that affects many women. In fact, statistics show that approximately 70% of women will develop uterine fibroids by the age of 45.
Despite so many women experiencing anxiety about leakage, products that truly prevent leakage remain insufficient.

TSUKIYOMI (月読み) is a word meaning “to read (読む) the moon (月)”.
It represents understanding and embracing the cyclical nature of the moon, which repeats like its waxing and waning phases.
The Japanese term “月経”(Gekkei), meaning menstruation, literally means “the cycle of the moon”.
The English word “menstruation” comes from the Latin word “mensis” (moon),
and the French word “menstruel” and the German word “menstruation” share the same etymology.
Across cultures and languages, menstruation has long been deeply connected to the moon,
perceived as a natural rhythm inscribed upon the female body.
The name TSUKIOYOMI embodies a wish:
that women living in harmony with this rhythm
may rest with peace of mind and navigate their daily lives with serenity.
